Barre & Yoga
What got me started:
In my late teens I was too shy and intimidated to go to big gyms and didn’t understand how the equipment worked, so I started running. As I would run I realized how freeing it was, how I was running from the frustrations of my day and letting go of any anger or disappointment I had. At the end of the run I felt this incredible feeling of accomplishment and strength within me. It made me realize how I really am worthy and could be and do whatever I wanted. From there I started seeking out different classes or types of workouts to make me stronger physically, mentally and spiritually and have not stopped striving for self-improvement since.
What is my passion:
My passion is life. I’m grateful to be here every day and enjoy the simple things around me. Feeling the sunshine on my shoulders, the wind on my face and knowing I am able to walk, enjoying nature and just be.
Hiking, drinking wine (that’s a hobby right), working out, writing/creating, photography (while drinking wine and hiking) and clearly cracking jokes is my hobby as well
History of me:
I have been in the finance industry, corporate America, for most of my adult life. Where I met the love of my life Chris. I enjoy the analytical aspects of the finance industry balanced out by teaching Yoga, allowing for a more creative free side, creating a nice balance. Chris and I currently reside in Gilbert with our English Mastiff, Hailey aka Diva and Norman the awesome rescued alley cat. Chris has 3 sons which I have had the opportunity to forge friendships with. Looking forward to the future, watching them grow into strong men.
Favorite form of physical fitness:
I don’t have one favorite, I have learned to appreciate all forms of exercise as they are all complementary to one another. Yoga helps open my body and mind, working on my breathing for running and strengthen through weights. Various classes helps me learn new things and have fun while doing it!
What motivates me:
People’s energy, positive or negative. Positivity motivates me to pay it forward striving to better myself and other. Negativity makes me want to try even harder to bring joy and a little bit of sunshine where people may not even realize they need it.
